The rules of using the site.

Plain-English summary: the Site and CPE tracker are free, "as is", no warranties. Don't submit false attestations. Don't republish our show content without permission. Other than that, enjoy.

Accepting these terms

By accessing or using cyberthreatbrief.simplycyber.io (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

What the Site provides

All of this is free. We don't charge for any of it.

Acceptable use

You may use the Site for personal, professional, or educational purposes. You agree NOT to:

CPE attestations are self-reported

All CPE attestations on this Site are self-reported. By submitting the attestation form, you confirm that you actually watched the episode you're claiming attendance for. We do not verify your identity beyond your email address. We provide dated proof of your self-reported attendance and nothing more.

It is YOUR responsibility to confirm that the CPE credits from this Site are acceptable to your specific certification body, and to determine which category (e.g., technical content, self-study, etc.) they fall under for that body's purposes.

No warranties

The Site and CPE Service are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Simply Cyber, its founders, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or CPE Service, including but not limited to lost CPE credits, lost time, rejected certification submissions, lost income, loss of data, or any other consequence of the Service being unavailable, inaccurate, or otherwise imperfect.

If you are unhappy with the Site or CPE Service, your sole remedy is to stop using them.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Site or CPE Service for any user, at our discretion, particularly in cases of misuse, abuse, or violation of these terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from the Site or these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated on the live show or in the newsletter. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
